Going to be a first-time visitor on a Sunday? You're in the right place! Here are a few basic bits of information that you may find helpful:
SERVICES: The 9:00am Service is Contemporary which features a full worship band and modern worship music. The 11:00am Service features traditional hymns and liturgy. The sermon is the same at both services. If you're not sure which one to attend, visit our YouTube page to see which type of service might be most fitting.
ARRIVAL: Plan to arrive a bit early to find parking and get settled. Services begin at 9:00am (Contemporary) and 11:00am (Traditional). Prior to the Contemporary Service, worship music begins 8:45am as we settle in and begin to prepare for worship. Feel free to enter the Sanctuary anytime between 8:45-9:00am if you're planning to worship at the Contemporary Service.
PARKING: There are four parking areas available (A, B, C, and D), and 3 Buildings (A- Activities Center, B- Sanctuary, C- Education Building). Each parking lot features easy access to the Sanctuary Building (B), which is quite close to the entrance to the Education Building (C) where nursery/children are checked-in. All buildings are connected by covered walkways to allow for the best experience during various weather conditions!
NURSERY/ELEMENTARY: Children of all ages are welcome to attend the Worship Services with a parent, though we also offer age-level care and curriculum just for them! If you are planning to check-in children at the Nursery (ages 8-weeks to Pre-k) or Children's Worship (Kindergarten-5th Grade), you may want to arrive about 15-20 minutes early. Head to the Education Building (Building C) to check in your children at the Children's Hub or Nursery just inside the entrance. Sunday School classes are available for all ages: Nursery, Elementary, Youth (6th-12th Grades), and Adults (Adult Classes take place in the Activities Center- Building A). All Sunday School classes take place at 10:10am. Feel free to allow your children to stay for this vital hour of Christian education and fun! You are free to join an adult class or relax in the Gathering Lobby just outside the Sanctuary during this time.
FEELING A LITTLE NERVOUS? Don't worry one bit! Perdido Bay Methodist Church is marked by it's warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. We won't put you on the spot or make you stand up and introduce yourself! We'll have a special gift waiting for you at the Hospitality Desk, as well as a Connect Card to fill out which allows us to stay in touch with you, if desired. If you'd like to chat with someone before your visit, our office is open Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm and we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
NEED HELP? The first place to look is the Hospitality Desk in the Gathering Lobby, which is the area just outside the Sanctuary in Building B. You will find helpful staff and volunteers ready to point you in the right direction. Additionally, most entrance doors are staffed with greeters who are also ready to help!
